BioAid 5535

Many odors in wastewater are formed as a result of unintentional biological activity under anaerobic conditions in wastewater collection and treatment systems. Hydrogen sulfide, for example, forms sulfate-reducing bacteria, the number of which increases under anaerobic conditions. Hydrogen sulfide not only has a strong unpleasant odor, but at high concentrations is detrimental and dangerous to health. Odor control methods, which consist only in neutralizing odor-causing compounds, after their occurrence, are often unsuccessful, because they will not be able to cope with the odor in conditions conducive to the formation of such odors.

BioAid 5535 is used in combination with the OdorCap 5700. The BioAid 5535 allows the OdorCap 5700 to work effectively in anaerobic zones in water storage tanks, sewer lines and other wastewater transportation zones or in a treatment system, where anaerobic conditions may persist. BioAid 5535 is an extremely important component of effective biological strategy using OdorCap.

BioAid 5535 is added with microorganisms for use with OdorCap 5700 to eliminate odors in the anaerobic environment.
